A small village near Pano Aqil Cantonment, Pakistan, remains mostly surrounded by water Oct. 12 after flooding that began late July. The U.S. Marine Corps’ 15th and 26th Marine Expeditionary Units have been operating CH-46 Sea Knight and CH-53 Super Stallion helicopters in the Sindh province since early September bringing relief supplies to those in need. Since U.S. relief operations began, U.S. military helicopters have transported more than 16 million pounds of supplies and evacuated more than 22,000 people.
