U.S. Marine Corp Staff Sgt. Michael Thornton, CH-46 Sea Knight crew chief, prepares for take-off, Oct. 12, at Pano Aqil Cantonment, Pakistan. CH-46 and CH-53 Super Stallion helicopters, operated by the 15th and 26th Marine Expeditionary Units respectively, have been operating out of Pano Aqil since early September bringing relief supplies to those in need. U.S. military helicopters have transported more than 10 million pounds of relief supplies since relief operations began, Aug. 5.
