WATERS SURROUNDING THE KOREAN PENNINSULA (March 31, 2017) Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Juan Browndoig, from Pensacola, Florida, operates a multifunctional towed array (MFDA) console from Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52) during a simulated submarine hunting exercise. Barry is participating in a Surface Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare Readiness and Effectiveness Measure (SHAREM) exercise, which is a multi-national exercise designed to strengthen interoperability of the U.S. and Republic of Korea Navies.
