APRA HARBOR, Guam (April 7, 2017) -- A second charter boat - of three total - await the at-sea memorial to pay tribute to the SMS Cormoran, marking 100 years since its scuttling by the Germans and in response to the United States' first involvement in World War I in the Pacific. The memorial, a 10-foot wreath, sign and a German Army Imperial flag were affixed to the Cormoran below the surface to commemorate a significant piece of U.S. and Guam history 100 years later.
