TAURAMA, Papua New Guinea (April 17, 2017) U.S. Marine Master Sgt. Jesse Ramirez, the operations chief with Combat Logistics Battalion 11, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, gives basic instruction on combat logistics to Papua New Guinea Defense Force (PNGDF) service members during a military tactics exchange at Taurama Barracks as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 17. During the class, the PNGDF service members were introduced to ways U.S. Marines with an occupational specialty in logistics provide support to other Marines in the field, to include: the operation of a combat operations centers, water purification facilities, medical aid stations, mess halls, billeting, and maintenance services.
