PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (April 17, 2017) A Papua New Guinea Defense Force service member scans the surrounding area while patrolling with his squad during a military tactics exchange conducted alongside U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) at the National Convention Center as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 17. USS Comstock (LSD 45), with the embarked 11th MEU, is in Papua New Guinea to conduct activities and training that will enhance military-to-military relations as the two nations work together for a stable and prosperous Asia-Pacific region.
