TAURAMA, Papua New Guinea (April 17, 2017) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Juan Hernandez, a team leader with Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 4th Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), demonstrates the proper method to clear the overhead of a stairwell to Papua New Guinea Defense Force (PNGDF) service members during a military tactics exchange at Taurama Barracks as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 17. The bilateral training between the 11th MEU and PNGDF consists of: entry control and vehicle check point procedures, escalation of force tactics, personnel searches, urban patrolling, VIP escorts, field communications and weapons maintenance.
