Staff Sgt. James Poole, 682nd Air Support Operations Squadron, checks over one of their global positioning systems that will be used for a tactical air control party exercise July 7, 2010. Poole is a TACP member and is responsible for several different jobs in the squadron including supervising and instructing during training exercises. The TACP are specialists who are assigned to combat units. They advise ground forces on aircraft employment and capabilities, coordinate and control aerospace operation and participate in battle planning.
