Sailors assigned to the Cougars of Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron (VAQ) 139 observe an opposed replenishment at sea (RAS) with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202) from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ships conduct an opposed RAS to practice completing replenishments at sea in a wartime scenario with other ships in the same carrier strike group providing perimeter protection. Ronald Reagan and Yukon performed the opposed RAS as part of a Composite Training Unit Exercise. Ronald Reagan is currently underway completing COMPTUEX in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
