(May 16, 2017) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician Third Class Shane Grubbs, attached to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 3 and a native of Moyock, N.C., fits a student at Spokane Community College with the EOD bomb suit at the “Spring Fling” event as a part of Spokane Navy Week. Since 2005, the Navy Week program has served as the Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country without a significant Navy presence, with 195 Navy Weeks held in 71 different U.S. cities. The program is designed to help Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
