170510-N-N0901-002 ECKERNFORDE, Germany (May 10, 2017) Service members assigned to Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Platoon 802, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8, conduct diving operations with German and Croatian EOD clearance divers during a trilateral exercise. The exercise focuses on MCM procedures including live mine disposal detonations and maritime combat skills. U.S. 6th Fleet is headquartered in Naples, Italy, and conducts a full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
