Ambassador Peter W. Bodde, Assistant Chief of Mission for Assistance Transition in Iraq, center, U.S. Army Col. Malcolm Frost, commander, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, and Zaid Al Azawi, Muqdadiyah Q'ai'mmaqam, Mayor of Mayors, cut the ribbon of the Rafidain Bank in the Sala-Aruba Marketplace, officially opening it for business, in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, Nov. 29. The Diyala Provincial Reconstruction team and the 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 25th Infantry Division provided micro-grants to boost economic revitalization in the marketplace, and in turn, the local shop owners’ need for a bank.
