Lance Cpl. Xiongmee Vang, food service specialist, Headquarters Battalion, prepares her chicken dish in front of American Culinary Federation judge John Hui. Vang's dish earned a bronze medal at the 2010 Hawiai Culinary Exposition Student Competition and Salon held in Honolulu Dec. 10. She and several other cooks from Marine Corps Base Hawaii are also scheduled to compete at Fort Lee, Va. in 2011.
