The 1st Bn. 279th Inf. Regt. assumes the JMTG-U mission from the U.S. Army’s 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th IBCT, and will spend the next six months as part of the JMTG-U, an international coalition dedicated to improving the CTC's training capacity and building professionalism within the Ukrainian army.
