U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Andres Gomez, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialist, leads a group of U.S. and Republic of Korea Marines into a CBRN response scenario at Pohang, South Korea, June 30, 2017, during the Korean Marine Exercise Program 17-7. The scenario provided U.S. and ROK Marines with the skills necessary to detect and identify CBRN threats together. KMEP is a continuous bilateral training exercise that promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula while enhancing the ROK and U.S. alliance.
