Andres Gomez (Right), both chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialist, drag a simulated casualty toward the decontamination center at Pohang, South Korea, June 30, 2017 during the Korean Marine Exchange Program 17-7. The scenario provided U.S. and ROK Marines with an opportunity to practice the skills necessary to detect and identify CBRN threats together. KMEP is a continuous bilateral training exercise that promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula while enhancing the ROK and U.S. alliance. Franck is from Brooklyn, New York, and Gomez is a Los Angeles native. Both are with 3rd Marine Logistics Group Headquarters Regiment, 3rd MLG, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
