PACIFIC OCEAN – Marines secure an Assault Amphibious Vehicle to the well deck of USS San Diego (LPD 22), July 17, 2017. While underway, the Marines perform routine maintenance and inspection of all vehicles and equipment ensuring personnel and equipment are ready for any mission. The 15th MEU and the America Amphibious Ready Group are currently deployed on a routine seven-month deployment to the U.S. 3rd, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of operation as a crisis response and contingency force.
