PACIFIC OCEAN – A Landing Craft Air Cushion transports a 7-ton truck from shore back to USS San Diego (LPD 22), July 17, 2017. The amphibious force contains an extensive set of ship-to-shore connectors, by air or by sea, which allow the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and America Amphibious Ready Group to move people and equipment to any corner of the world needed. The 15th MEU and the America Amphibious Ready Group are currently deployed on a routine seven-month deployment to the U.S. 3rd, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of operation as a crisis response and contingency force. The LCAC is with Navy Assault Craft Unit 5. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Timothy Valero)
