PACIFIC OCEAN – A Marine performs sprints next to a UH-1Y Huey on the flight deck of USS San Diego (LPD 22), July 17, 2017. While underway, the Marines and Sailors maintain their physical fitness in order to be prepared for any mission at any time. The 15th MEU and the America Amphibious Ready Group are currently deployed on a routine seven-month deployment to the U.S. 3rd, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of operation as a crisis response and contingency force.
