VAZIANI TRAINING AREA, Georgia — Soldiers of the 1st Engineer Sapper Company, Engineer Brigade, of the Georgian Armed Forces, place lumber at angles in the earth to create a defensive barrier, Vaziani Training Area, Georgia, Aug. 6, 2017. Soldiers of the 500th Engineer Support Company, 15th Engineer Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Sustainment Theater Command, Grafenwoehr, Germany, dig the ditches with the High Mobility Engineer Excavator (Hmee-I) prior. Together, the two units combine experience and skills to establish an engagement area to deter enemy forces, in Exercise Noble Partner. Noble Partner is a multinational U.S. Army Europe-led exercise conducting home station training for the Georgian light infantry company designated for the NATO Response Force.
