Balad, Iraq -- Six 1,200 pound bundles of water and MREs are dropped off a C-130 Hercules to support the Army's 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq, Feb. 16. This mission is the first time the Air Force employed the Joint Precision Air Drop System in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. JPADS is a new airdrop system used by C-130 crews to drop cargo at higher altitudes with improved accuracy. The C-130 crew is assigned to 777th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron.
