During the Operation Proper Exit town hall meeting, Aug. 8, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. and Medal of Honor recipient Leroy Petry, formerly with D company, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, recalls how resiliency helped him overcome his combat injuries. OPE sponsors veterans who are recovering from combat related injuries and gives them an opportunity to find closure by traveling to the site of their injuries and leaving on their own terms.
