(Aug. 23, 2017) - Chief Petty Officer Selectees representing commands at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) pose for a group photo after conducting a flag retirement ceremony at Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center located onboard NBVC on Aug. 23, 2017. It is a custom at some commands for Chief Petty Officer Selects to conduct this ceremony during their CPO 365 Phase II training; initiation into the ranks of chief petty officers.
