SASEBO, Japan (Aug. 25, 2017) Naval Beach Unit 7 Landing Craft, Air-Cushion embarked aboard Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force landing ship tank JS Osumi (LST 4001) Aug. 25, 2017. The NBU 7 LCACs are riding Osumi to participate in Big Rescue Kanagawa, an annual joint disaster relief exercise. The exercise is performed by U.S. Navy, JSDF and Kanagawa prefectural government to increase interoperability during emergency or disaster relief.
