Brigadier General Todd Royar, Deputy Commanding General, Support and Command Sgt. Maj. Todd Sims, senior enlisted advisor, both 101st Airborne Division, address members of the staff, about the recent accomplishments of the Ammunition section Soldiers assigned to A Company, 426th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, 12 Sept. The Soldiers recently made history, for the division, by winning the Ammunition Transfer and Holding Point Team of the Year competition last month. The United States Army Ordnance Corps designed the competition to test Soldiers’ teamwork and critical thinking abilities as they apply technical solutions to real world problems. During the Ordnance Crucible, teams competed in physical fitness, marksmanship, land navigation, sling load operations, analysis of ATHP faults, ammunition identification and accountability procedures and ATHP layout design to optimize tactical operations.
