Erik Mendez all from A Company, 426th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, pose for a photo at the division headquarters, after being recognized for winning the Ammunition Transfer and Holding Point Team of the Year competition last month, at Fort Campbell, 12 Sept. The United States Army Ordnance Corps designed the competition to test Soldiers’ teamwork and critical thinking abilities as they apply technical solutions to real world problems. During the Ordnance Crucible, teams competed in physical fitness, marksmanship, land navigation, sling load operations, analysis of ATHP faults, ammunition identification and accountability procedures and ATHP layout design to optimize tactical operations.
