Benjamin Standley, an infantryman with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 186th Infantry, fires his M4 rifle during the stress-shoot event during the 2011 Oregon Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Camp Rilea, Warrenton, Ore., March 12. Standley of Roseburg, Ore., went on to take the overall title of Oregon’s Noncommissioned Officer of the Year during the three-day event, which pitted Oregon citizen-soldiers against one another as they competed to become Oregon’s Soldier and Noncommissioned Officer of the Year.
