    Fort Bliss, Texas- A Soldier from Fort Bliss does a validation exercise to test his knowledge of needle chest decompression (NCD) techniques on mannequins as part of a Combat Lifesaver course at the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) here September 11-14. The 40-hour course provides the Soldiers with realistic scenarios related to current battlefield tactics. The course consist of tourniquet placement, nasopharyngeal airways (NPA), and performing needle chest decompression to treat tension pneumothorax or a collapsed lung.
