U.S. Navy CMDR Adolfo Granados, a Mission Hills, California native, is the officer in charge of the Sri Lanka Health Engagement 17 team. Granados originally joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1986. He left the Marine Corps in 1994 and went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles and his master’s degree from the University of California Davis. He commissioned into the Navy in 1997 and is currently the Group Surgeon for 3d Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force in Okinawa, Japan. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Kathy Nunez)
