Eight CH-46 Sea Knights with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Air Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, have delivered more than 5,000 pounds of food, fuel and water to distribution sites like this one throughout areas of Japan affected by the earthquake and tsunami. The government of Japan is leading the relief efforts conducted in Japan. The Marine Corps is ready and responding to requests by the Japanese government to support the humanitarian assistance.
