The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force has established aid and relief camps throughout the areas of Japan affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Air Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, transported 76 barrels of kerosene to distribution points in northern Japan March 19 to be dispersed by the Japan Self-Defense Force to Japanese citizens affected by the earthquake and tsunami and will continue to support the relief effort as requested by the government of Japan.
