Larry McCullen, right, commanding officer of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), presents a trophy to Machinist’s Mate 1st Class Sallyvidia Isiaho, coach of the ship’s soccer team, following a game between Bonhomme Richard Sailors and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Sailors assigned to the Anzac-class frigate HMAS Parramatta (FFH 154). The soccer tournament, held during Parramatta’s scheduled port visit to Sasebo, Japan, highlighted the camaraderie and longstanding relationship between the U.S. Navy and RAN. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
