171010-N-XT039-0082 SASEBO, Japan (Oct. 10, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Kedrick Taylor, an Afloat Training Group Western Pacific (ATGWP) team member, from Riverside, Calif., reviews a maintenance requirement card in the ground support equipment shop during a Maintenance and Material Management (3M) 1.4 inspection aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). ATGWP conducted the 3M 1.4 inspection to re-certify Bonhomme Richard’s 3M program. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
