171018-N-OY799-480 WATERS EAST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (Oct. 18, 2017) – The Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63) move into formation with Republic of Korea (ROK) ships ROKS Sejong the Great (DDG-991), ROKS Munmu the Great (DDH-976), ROKS Yang Manchun (DDH-973), ROKS Kang Won (DD-922), ROKS Andong (PCC-771), ROKS Sokcho (PCC-778) and ROKS Gwangmyeong (PCC-782) during Maritime Counter Special Operations Force Exercise (MCSOFEX) 2017. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, is conducting a bilateral training exercise with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy designed to increase the readiness of U.S. and ROK forces and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula.
