NORFOLK (Oct. 26, 2017) Members of the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection team attached to Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (SURFLANT) communicate instructions during an active shooter training exercise held at SURFLANT headquarters. SURFLANT military and civilian personnel are participating in a training exercise to ensure that if an active shooter scenario were to occur, personnel would be ready to active counter that threat here at SURFLANT headquarters building from Monday through Friday Oct. 26. The active shooter exercise was designed to familiarize Sailors, government employees and contractors with the Navy's Run-Hide-Fight policy.
