CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan – Lance Cpl. Rober Navarro fires his M1911 during an Special Reaction Team familiarization range Nov. 8 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The M1911 is an issued side arm for SRT Marines, Reconnaissance Marines and Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. SRT Marines utilize these familiarization ranges to ensure they are comfortable with their weapon systems under duress. Safety officers and line coaches oversaw all the movements under fire.
