CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan – Lance Cpl. Demetrious Board examines his target after practicing a shield and masker movement drill during an Special Reaction Team familiarization range Nov. 8 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Board completed static, transition and shield and masker movement drills with the ballistic shield under the instructor of the SRT leader. The SRT Marines are the Marine Corp’s version of SWAT acting as first responders for Marine Corps Installations across Okinawa. These Marines utilizes familiarization ranges to ensure that their team is comfortable and familiar with their weapon systems. Board is a member of SRT with the Provost Marshal’s Office, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan.
