John Kadz, “air boss” of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), participates in a 1.5-mile run as part of a physical readiness test (PRT) held at Nimitz Park, U.S. Fleet Activities Sasebo. The PRT is a standard Navy fitness test that is conducted biannually. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
