Instructors move skis into place in preparation for upcoming classes Nov. 15, 2017, at Fort McCoy, Wis. The instructors teach the Cold-Weather Operations Course, which holds its first of six courses on Dec. 2, 2017, during the winter of 2017-18. Students learn on a variety of cold-weather subjects in the course, including skiing and snowshoe training as well as how to use ahkio sleds and the Arctic 10-person cold-weather tent.
