The CWOC is coordinated through the Fort McCoy Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security and the first of six courses during the winter of 2017-18 begins on Dec. 2, 2017. In the course, students learn on a variety of cold-weather subjects, including skiing and snowshoe training as well as how to use ahkio sleds and the Arctic 10-person cold-weather tent.
