POPE ARMY AIRFIELD, N.C. — Senior Airman Luis Arroyo, a 61st Airlift Squadron loadmaster from Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., removes an anchor cable stop while configuring a C-130J Hercules to receive cargo on Green Ramp here during a Battalion Mass Tactial Exercise Nov. 28. Aircraft from Little Rock AFB, Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., and Joint Base Charleston, S.C., are airlifting loads of 82nd Airborne Division paratroopers and cargo throughout the week. Airmen in the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group at Pope Field are supporting air and ground crews from other Air Mobility Command units during the exercise, providing operations, maintenance, Aerial Port, fuels, ground equipment and other support. Airlift at Pope Field is provided through the Joint Airborne/Air Transportability Training program — or JA/ATT — giving Airmen opportunities to train for real-world airlift operations with other services.
