POPE ARMY AIRFIELD, N.C. — Paratroopers with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division wait to board a C-17 Globemaster III from the 62nd Airlift Wing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., on Green Ramp here during a Battalion Mass Tactical Exercise Nov. 28. Airmen in the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group at Pope Field are supporting air and ground crews from several Air Mobility Command units during the exercise, providing operations, maintenance, Aerial Port, fuels, ground equipment and other support. Airlift here is provided through the Joint Airborne/Air Transportability Training program — or JA/ATT — giving Airmen opportunities to train for real-world airlift operations with other services.
