Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Tanner, a first sergeant at 1st Training Brigade, speaks to employers during a dinner social held during the Rochester N.Y. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve committee’s Boss Lift day at Fort Bragg, N.C., May 4. More than 40 employers and supervisors participated in the Boss Lift program. They were able to see firsthand the type and quality of military training and leadership activities National Guard and Reserve members receive while they are away from their civilian occupation for duty with their military units.
