Patients wait to be seen outside one of the field hospital clinics in the village of Vale do Paraiso during phase 2 of PAMBALA, the first-ever trilateral combined medical engagement to take place in the Republic of Angola, Dec. 11, 2017, in Bengo Province. Phase 2 consists of a four-day clinical operations mission at various field hospitals in the province. The historic engagement aims to build the foundation for future engagements between the U.S. and Angola, as well as enhance the 11-year partnership the Ohio National Guard maintains with Serbia, through the National Guard State Partnership Program.
