Combat engineers from 251st Engineer Company (Sapper) conduct a stress shoot at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada, August 14th, 2017. The stress shoot included 100 meter sprints, firing while being timed and additional physically fatiguing exercises. “Soldiers need to understand that when your actually under stress a lot of things change, your heart rate, your breathing, everything changes and it makes it a lot more difficult to hit your target.” said Spc. Jeffery Waters a combat engineer with the 251st and the marksmanship subject matter expert leading the range. “Unless you practice it and understand what is going to happen to you under those conditions, you’re going to freeze up and miss your shot.”
