Spc. Jeffery Waters a combat engineer with the 251st Engineer Company (Sapper) leads a stress shoot at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada, August 14th, 2017. “We always practice in a no stress environment. It’s good to get he fundaments down that way, but soldiers need to understand that when you’re actually under stress a lot of things change, your heart rate, your breathing, everything changes and it makes it a lot more difficult to hit your target,” said Spc. Waters a combat engineer with the 251st and the marksmanship subject matter expert leading the range. “Unless you practice and understand what is going to happen to you under those conditions, your going to freeze up and miss your shot.”
