171025-N-PM250-0024 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 25, 2017) Seaman Keyana Desouza, a Sailor aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44), communicates with the bridge using a sound-powered telephone in preparation of dropping anchor. Gunston Hall is underway in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (#BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
