U.S. Army retired Lt. Gen. Robert F. Foley answers a question about his experience during Operation Attleboro in a Leader Professional Development brief on Schofield Barracks, Hi., Jan. 18, 2018. During Operation Attleboro, then a Captain, Foley was ordered by U.S. Army Maj. Sandy Meloy to extricate a besieged company. He was ordered to attack through what looked like a gap in the enemy's line, but no gap presented itself, and an intense firefight took place. Foley's heroic actions during the operation earned him the Medal of Honor. (U.S. Army photo by 1st Lt. Ryan DeBooy)
