A Ugandan community animal healthcare worker administers a syringe of deworming medication to a dog June 7, as U.S. Army Capt. Jill Lynn, Veterinarian, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion Functional Specialty Team assists by securely holding the animal. CJTF-HOA provides the resources to facilitate a comprehensive animal health care program, in collaboration with the Ugandan government and the U.S. Embassy in Uganda. More than 30,000 animals were treated during this first of three phase VETCAP in the Karomoja region.
