Sergeant Jonathan L. Dean, drill instructor, Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, corrects a recruit during a series commander inspection at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 1. The series commander inspection challenges the recruits’ knowledge on what they have learned throughout recruit training pertaining to bearing, maintenance of both their uniforms and weapons. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate April 13.
